Harford County Senior Softball
Welcome to the Harford County Senior Softball league of Joppa, Maryland, an affiliate of Joppatowne Recreation Council and the Harford County Department of Parks and Recreation with additional sanctioning by the ASA [Amateur Softball Association].
Players ranging from ages 45 to 70-something are invited to participate in an enjoyable and competitive men's slow-pitch, senior softball league that runs from April through the end of July with a play-off tournament and championship. [And open to non-county residents too.]
Please feel free to browse around our site; then go ahead and Register Online, or if you have any questions, just use the Contact Us form to discover the action-packed excitement and nostalgic experiences of senior softball.
So, want to recapture those youthful days on the ball fields of yesteryear? Then, come join us for some rejuvenating fun...and just maybe, you might even hit a home run!
In closing, our mantra seems appropriate to mention from a timely adage:
"Seniors don't quit playing softball because they get old; they get old, because they quit playing!"
From The President
I would like to welcome all returning and new players to our 26th season of Harford County Senior Softball.
We have an exciting announcement to make about this upcoming season. For the very first time ever, Player Registration will now take place online through Joppatowne Recreation
Council with the added benefit and convenience of utilizing credit cards. To help defray the additional JRC costs of online credit card usage, there will be a $5.00 increase in player registration, resulting in an $80 league fee for this season and going forward.
If you know of any new ballplayers [45 - 70+], please refer them to our website or give them my contact information. As always, please remember No Smoking or Alcohol on school premises. If we don’t adhere to this JRC policy, we could possibly lose the privilege of using their playing fields.
In the event of inclement weather, it is each ballplayer's responsibility to call the rain/heat hotline or check our website before coming to the fields. The phone number has a "click-to-call" link for mobile devices and is listed on our schedules too. All postponements will be posted prior to 4:30 PM on game nights.
Please visit, support and thank all of our Corporate Sponsors. As we all know, without them our registration fees would be much higher; because their sponsorships pay for our team jerseys and equipment as needed. This season we would like to welcome Pivot
In closing, I am really looking forward to another great year of Harford County Senior Softball as we again have a very competitive league and plan on maintaining a high caliber of play. May God bless you and your families and as always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 410-322-7722.
